How are words counted?
Words are groups of Unicode letters or numbers; internal apostrophes and hyphens stay part of a word. Punctuation alone does not count.
Is reading time exact?
Reading time is an estimate at 200 words per minute. It varies with the reader and the complexity of the text.
What are the limits?
Local tools support up to 3,000 words and 50,000 characters. Generative AI is currently unavailable; all working edits use local rules. TXT and Markdown files up to 1 MiB are supported. English is the only supported language.
What happens to my text?
Your draft stays in browser memory until you clear it or leave the page. We do not save it to a server or local storage. This release downloads no model files. Read the privacy policy.
